Geraldos in Fairbanks

Chicken parmesan was tough, inedible and spicy. Bred was dry salty garlic. Salad bar was good! Ice tea was old. Nice atmosphere. Nice service.

3 stars just for our server. She was really friendly and considerate.. Food was not worth it

Over priced and oily. Veal should not be tough. Portions are small for the price. Could barely taste any garlic. Over all bland. Won't be going back. Olive Garden does Italian better which is really sad to say.

Pretty good Italian if you are in the area.

I was expecting a lot more to be honest. It was incredibly busy, but they couldn't give us a proper time until seating. After being helpful and apologetic to us, they got us a spot. The waiting staff were definitely overworked, not nearly enough for the massive crowd they received.Appraisers were fast and decent. But then we waited nearly an hour for our entrees. The staff apologized and gave us a free dish for the wait.When the dishes came out, we were incredibly disappointed. It was almost pre-prepared and with little to no attention. It was cold and bland. Again, I would have maybe tried again, but the salad bar, and the Alfredo? I don't think I can.Best redeeming quality was the wait staff, you all need a commendation.

Great server and good atmosphere

The service wasn't all that great I think they are short staffed or something. The food was over priced for small quantities and didn't taste all that great. They have a small selection of draft beer but a bunch of bottles. The atmosphere is nice and you can sit outside if you want to. It also smells amazing.

Food was ok didn't care for the spaghetti as it just had an off flavor and had very large chunks of onions. I can say the french onion soup was amazing.

Good food ~ great service.we were walk-ins on new year's eve and the were able to sit us (a party of 5). The food was delicious and the garlic bread was the best.

Whoever is cooking here clearly does not know what itialian food is. Their white sauce is just flower and heavy cream. The marsala will get you drunk. The waiter/bartender was super condescending and told me to stay away from marsala dishes in the future because I sent it back very politely. Salad bar is basically iceberg lettuce, peas, and cottage cheese. The food is way way way over priced for less than Frozen hungry man quality. Went for my Birthday with my family. What a letdown.....

Mozzarella bread is so good! Pasta buffet and salad bar is just ok.

Geraldo the food is always good. Tried the marinara meatball bread bowl today, highly recommend.

I grew up going here with my mom! So many wonder meals shared with family and friends! The staff is amazing I hadn't been in 2 years since moving out of town and I came back and the waitress remembered what I liked and everything. The food is always amazing and the chocolate moose is perfect!

We go to Geraldos frequently! The Veal Saltimboca is the best dinner around! Their calzones are warm, savory, and a very generous portion! The bar tender is always really nice and so is the staff! Thanks for a wonderful evening Brody!

During these trying time we must support our local business’s . Even though my hours have been reduced I still ordering up from my favorite restaurant😁

Good food good prices

We had reservations for 6:30. Wasn’t seated until 7:10. It’s 8:35 and still have not gotten our meal. We will never eat here again.

Ate here twice in a week, I'm not that pleased with the food. I got Chicken Marsala and Chicken Parmesan and on both occasions the chicken was flat and dry. The Place is really nice looking but the food I got didn't live up to the atmosphere.

Good place to eat in Fairbanks. A little pricey but ok value.

Still one of the very few places worth going out to eat at.

The service was great! We tried this place for this first time and enjoyed it very much. Our server was Alvera and she was on too of everything making sure we enjoyed everything about our evening. we recommend the Garlic lovers pizza with chicken all the flavors were on point. We will be back and definitely asking for Alvera!

Went here for our 8th anniversary tonight. Great food and service. Drink very rarely and I wanted a drink, but had no idea what I like anymore. The wait staff suggested a wine for me and it was amazing! The French onion soup was amazing like always. Been going here for years and it can go up and down in the experiences, sits around a high 4 star in my opinion usually, but tonight they nailed it!

Good food, quick service, nice atmosphere for a date or work lunch.

I didn’t catch the waitresses name but she was an angel! I come here once a year when visiting and it never seems to fail. Thank you for being awesome ❤️

A little on the pricey side, my shells were over cooked slightly and they didn't have a kids menu for our friend's daughter. But the food was good and we had a great time.

Friendly courteous staff, great food decent prices. The escargot is always delicious, the wine sauce is made when you order! Even in an embarrassing moment the staff is courteous and helpful. Great atmosphere with pleasant music playing in the background (Deano, Frankie, Sammy etc.) and comfortable seating. Highly recommend.

The meals were absolutely beautiful, nice wine also and great quality service! Would definitely recommend!!! Loved it!!

Very nice place, within comfortable walking distance from our hotel. One suggestion would be to cut back on the amount of sauce for the Halibut Florentine!BTW - Lydia was wonderful!

Great service and I love the food this is the best Italian restaurant in Fairbanks they have very nice decor and some interesting tables I dont think I would like the small table in the back but would love to sit in the couch table

The staff was super amazing and the atmosphere was very nice. Service was very quick and done right the first time. Love the home made garlic bread. I had read that the French onion soup was one of the best things on the menu, to me it was good, but not outstanding. The goodfella pizza was a hit though, lots of great flavors that really worked together. The creme brulee was also good, very creamy and rich, the highlight was having the sugar torched in front of us at our table. For a good, quick and reasonable dinner I would recommend Geraldo's in Fairbanks.

What a place to get ignored. The waitress talked to the only other customer at the bar the entire time I was waiting for my to go meal and did not even talk to me at all? The food was so garlicky that it almost melted the fork. I like garlic but it seems like they are using it like in the middle ages to cover up the fact that the other ingredients are past their prime?

I used to love this restaurant. And upon restaurants reopening in town, I thought about getting pizza. But, remembered the last time I was in.. the service was absolutely terrible. The waitress was flirting with the table of men behind me, didn’t refill waters or ask if she could get us anything while we waited an hour and a half for our pizza to arrive at the table, at which time she apologized for our pizza falling on the ground and said, she would give us a discount. We a recived a $3.50 discount for losing 4 pieces, and finding hairs/dirt on the remaining pieces. Truly the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Super disappointed. And will never return. Really wish everyone the exact opposite of my experience. Because the food is actually very good, if you get it without hairs in it ;)

Ok service was great

My party and I received fantastic service and delicious food. The mixed cocktails were A+. Great job bartender! The food came within reasonable time, tasted great and the bread was great*I read reviews on how it was dry but none of us suffered that* Looses only a star due to price. Some things deserve a higher price, but coming for simply pasta between 2 people and charging nearly 100 is a bit steep. I feel some of the prices need to lower.All in all we where pleased but I am unsure if I would return mainly due to costs. If I am going to spend that much money it may as well be at a few other restaurants that have food that reflects that price.

Geraldo's is a pleasant Italian restaurant that has a nice atmosphere. I find it more comfortable to go here during lunch. The food is better prepared and the service is better at this time. Dinner is not bad, but I feem the staff is rushed, so the quality declines. That is why I give it 4 stars.

Food and service was totally worth the time

Food was good, all of it looked to be individually prepared. Kids had a pizza, I had the veal picatta. Tiramisu for the finish. I would recommend this place for anyone desiring good Italian food.

Great experience and the prices were really good, very nice atmospere. There is a bar, but is a separate dining area for families. Food was also great! It did take about 30 minutes for our order, but like I said the food is very good.

Fettuccini pasta was really great, it was super creamy with right seasoning. Garlic bread is another real good option. This place is really close to airport and the servers were very courteous.

We were spending couple days in Fairbanks and were looking for something else than Thai food. We were not very impressed in Geraldo’s. Our waitress was kind, but the food was so-so. It did not feel fresh (for example the mushroom), my fish was a bit tasteless and the lasagne had way too much tomato sauce on it. Overall I would give 3 for the place.

Lots of peppers and onions. The veggies we're barely cooked in the sauce.We got simple spaghetti and honestly it was disgusting. I am not completely sure how you mess spaghetti up but they did it.BUT the onion soup was probably the best soup I have ever had in my life.

A little high priced for the amount of food. The "salad bar" leaves a lot to be desired
